Does Morality Require God?

Morality is a concept of understanding what is just and rigth, as well as what is unjust and wrong.

Without and objective standard of justice and righteousness, there can be no clear distinction between whats is false and unjust.

The Problem of Subjective Morality

If morality is purely subjective—based on personal opinions, curtural norms, or sicietal agreements—then what is “right” for one person or culture might be “wrong” for another. For example:

  • in some cultures, certain actuins accepted as moral, while in others they are condemned (e.g. in islam marrying a 6-year old is “normal”, while we in christianity condemn it absolutly)
  • If morality is just a matter of opinion, then there is no real basis to say that one action is truly better than another. For example what’s more right: beating a person for no reason OR beating a rapist. What the modern “justice” systems call equal is in fact absolutly NOT equal.

Why objective morality doesn’t works?

If morality doesn’t depend on ONE & ABSOLUTE, anyone defines it on their own personal meaning or societal views & values. Which means that each person has their own understanding of morality.
